Which leads me onto a tangent.
Has anyone compared the speed of perl to gawk or mawk? The two awks are
both much faster than either old or new Unix awk, and in many things mawk
is faster even than gawk. A mawk vs. perl comparison would be very
interesting, to me anyway.
