PTY> I think the "Compilers - Principles, Techniques, and Tools" (The Dragon
PTY> Book) is used by many schools. We use it at UC Davis and I found that it
PTY> indeed a good book. However, it lacks discussions on newer topics like
PTY> treatment for objected-oriented languages.
For a detailed explanation of the compilation of imperative,
o-o, logic and functional families of PL, you should check:
Wilhelm, Maurer "Compiler Design"
Addison-Wesley
ISBN: 0-201-42290-5
To me this seems a rather good book, formal and rigorous
in every step of the exposition. A perfect companion of
Muchnick's "Advanced Compiler Design & Implementation".
