I've proofread a draft copy of "Advanced Compiler Design and
Implementation" by Steven S. Muchnick.
While less theorethical than the Dragon Book (especially in the
exercice sections) it covers much up to date techniques.
That was in early 1997, so I assume the book is available by now.
