                                  IEEE SPRING COMPCOM 1997
                      SESSION ON JAVA ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES






IEEE is soliciting papers from Java visionaries for a session on "Java
Enabling Technologies". This session will provide a forum for
commercial software/hardware developers and researchers to present the
various issues involved in the design and the use of key technologies
that will prove instrumental in enabling the Java revolution. Papers
are invited in areas such as (but not limited to) the following:




* Java Virtual Machine Implementations(Software and Hardware)
* Just-In-Time(JIT) or ahead of time compilers
* Bytecode optimizations
* Bycode verification
* Java Security
* Persistent Java Objects(SOM,COM,CORBA etc)
* Development and Migration tools




Important Dates:


November 5, 1996: 200 word Abstract Due
November 15, 1996: Author's Kit available
January 1, 1997: Paper due
January 10 1997: Camera-ready Manuscript Due
