                                                        CALL FOR PAPERS

ACM SIGPLAN Conference on Partial Evaluation
                      and Semantics-Based Program Manipulation (PEPM'97)

June 12-13, 1997, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

      (after ICFP'97 : http://www.fwi.uva.nl/research/func/icfp97.html)

                        (PEPM'97 web page : http://www.irisa.fr/pepm97)

The ACM SIGPLAN Conference on Partial Evaluation and Semantics-Based
Program Manipulation continues the momentum initiated by its
predecessors. This conference is aimed at providing a forum for
discussion on principles, techniques and applications of partial
evaluation and semantics-based program manipulation.

Partial evaluation is reaching a level of maturity that leads
researchers to explore its applicability to real-size problems.
Reports that set out new directions or present experimental results
are strongly encouraged.

Papers presented at the conference must describe work that has not
previously been published or presented.

The program committee welcomes papers on a variety of topics including:

      Static analyses for program transformations
      Program-transformation techniques
      Multi-level program specialization
      Run-time program specialization
      Run-time program optimization
      Data specialization
      Languages for program manipulation
      Implementation of program-transformation systems
      Benchmarks and assessments
      Environment for program-transformation systems
      Applications

Papers must be written in English, must not exceed 15 pages (excluding
references and figures), and must include a cover page containing the
following: a 200-word abstract, keywords, postal and electronic
mailing addresses, and voice and fax numbers of one of the authors.
We strongly encourage electronic paper submission. Please send a
postscript file to the program chair via electronic mail to
charles.consel@irisa.fr. (Should this be impossible, please send 10
copies of the paper to the address below). At the time of submission,
a message containing an ASCII version of the paper's cover page should
be sent by email.

Paper submission deadline: Monday, November 18, 1996
Notification to the authors: Tuesday, January 21, 1997

Proceedings will be distributed at the conference and will appear as
an issue of SIGPLAN Notices. Authors of accepted papers must sign an
ACM copyright release form.
