Angelika Zobel at CMU did some work that involved parallelizing gcc.
I don't know if there are any reports, but I would expect some. This
was strictly an experiment by a graduate student; it wasn't packaged
up for use by anybody else.
Anyhow, a quick search using AltaVista for "Angelika Zobel" turns up a
paper in PLDI 1989, a CMU tech report (her PhD thesis): look up
