Understanding and Using COFF by Gintaras R. Gircys is still in print.
( At least I got a copy in a local bookstore last week. )
IBM AIX uses XCOFF - an extended version.
I'll remind everyone that there's a couple of IBM papers
by Gary Hook in the comp.compilers archive:
linking.ps & advlink.ps
And the last time this topic came up, I also said that the papers
that come with the gnu dl package had some good material.
Now that I have a WWW server, maybe I'll put up a linking and
object-file-format page. ( And if someone has anything NEW to
add to the collection, it would be a big motivation for me to
finally do so. )
