Recently, there was a rather pedantic message by a John R Levine, who wrote:
: Your moderator, in the few minutes he has when not running comp.compilers,
: made a television special on the Internet which is supposed to
: br broadcast on most public TV stations in the U.S. some time in the next
: few weeks.
Apart from the fact that a great number of Internet users cannot receive
this broadcast (ever wonder what the 'Distribution' line meant in the
header?), that being a comp.whatever moderator doesn't make you an Internet
specialist, that these broadcasts have very, very little relevance to
readers of this news group who are in majority rather litterate Internet
users, and that someone who doesn't own a TV apparently thinks he can
make something interesting to watch for the morons who do, the best thing
I can say about this message is:
[[ this message is not appropriate for comp.compilers;
consider posting it to alt.i.am.on.national.televion
instead
]]
Why did the group controller let this message pass?
