At one time, David Skillicorn (skill@qucis.queensu.ca) kept a fairly
complete bibliography on the topic of parallel compilation. Most entries
dealt with compiling on tightly-coupled multiprocessors. Papers covered
parallel lexing, parsing, and optimization. Might be a good starting
point. Finger David's userid for an ftp site. If your attempts are
unsuccessful, I have a copy of the file dated March 1990.
