Compiler Software Engineer
Description


The Compiler Software Engineer will develop custom cross-development
C/C++ (and proprietary language) compilers for use by top in-house and
external game development teams, focusing on optimized code generation
and implementation of custom features. The successful candidate will
have a Master's degree or equivalent work experience.


Skills Required
* Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
* Strong knowledge of compiler systems and parsing theory
* Minimum four (4) years C/C++ programming experience
* Minimum two (2) years low-level and assembly-language experience
* Knowledge of advanced data structures, and computer architecture
* Experience with GNU C/C++ a plus

Position: Software Engineer, Compiler Systems

Job Description:


As a team member, you will participate in the development of Improv's
state-of-the-art Compiler for VLIW multi-processor systems. Improv's
compilation technology is a high performance system which performs
transformations and optimizations for a multi-target, scalable
system. This job will include software development of next generation
synthesis and compilation technology, including a strong interaction
with our user environment, application, and hardware teams. Improv
Systems is a pre-IPO company offering stock options as well as
medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits.


Qualifications:


BS in EE/CS + 4 yrs experience or Advanced degree + 2 yrs experience
in compiler development, hardware synthesis, or related field. The
candidate should have a strong background in compiler optimization,
HDLs and/or embedded software. Familiarity with VLIW, DSP, or runtime
systems is a plus. Requires good knowledge of C++, C, Java.
