The relevant RFC's contain official grammars for mail message formats.
They probably won't be immediately suitable for automatic processing,
though.
Look at RFC 822, RFCs 2045-2049 and lots of others.
You can get copies of the RFCs from ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/ .
