1999 ACM-ICS call for papers (Greece, 6/99)

                                    1999 ACM International Conference on Supercomputing
                                                                                June 20-25, 1999
                                                                                  Rhodes, Greece


The 13th ACM-SIGARCH International Conference on Supercomputing will
take place on the historic island of Rhodes, Greece, during June
20-25, 1999. Research papers are solicited in all areas of parallel
and high-performance computing, including but not limited to the
following:


- Novel processor architectures and system organizations
- Memory system architecture, cache hierarchies, memory latency
optimization
- High-performance distributed and network computing
- System-on-silicon and intelligent memory architectures
- Operating systems support for NUMA systems and distributed shared
memory
- Compiler methodologies and programming environments
- High-performance support for Java, C++ and OO languages
- Architecture and programming support for high-performance multimedia
and embedded systems
- Parallel processing theory and methodologies
- Parallel numerical and combinatorial algorithms
- Computational science and engineering tools and methodologies
- Performance evaluation, performance tuning tools and benchmarking
- Large scale applications


In addition to the contributed research papers, the technical program
will include invited presentations by notable researchers, one-day
workshops and tutorials. Research groups and individuals are
encouraged to submit workshop and tutorial proposals. Contributed
papers should be no longer than 6,000 words. Only web-based and email
submissions are required. Submissions should be in Postscript that is
interpretable by Ghostscript. Authors can submit their papers at
http://www.csrd.uiuc.edu/ics99 or via email to ics99@csrd.uiuc.edu.
