Principles of Programming Languages
San Antonio, Texas
January 20-22, 1999

This year's POPL'99 conference has sessions on mobile code, type
systems, automatic program analysis, novel programming language
features, compiling and linking, and other topics. There will be
special invited talks by C. A. R. Hoare (on theories of programming),
Fritz Henglein (on applying
type theory to Y2K), and David Dill (on formal verification).
Before and after POPL are three workshops:
PADL '99 (Practical Applications of Declarative Languages) Jan 18-19
POPL '99 Conference Jan 20-22
PEPM '99 (Partial Evaluation and Program Manipulation) Jan 22-23
FOOL 6 (Foundations of Object-Oriented Languages) Jan 23
The conference will take place at the Menger Hotel, in the historic
district of San Antonio.

Early registration deadline is December 23, 1998.
