Well, there might be such a book but I suspect that you're actually
referring to: "The Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs",
Second Edition, by Harold Abelson and Gerald Jay Sussman with Julie
Sussman, MIT Press, 1996, ISBN 0-262-01153-0. It uses Scheme as the base
language.
