The due day of paper submission of ICS'98 has just passed. However, the
number of submitted papers is not large enough to support a prosperous
international conference. Please kindly invite your colleagues to
submit their papers for ICS'98. The due day of paper submission is
extended till August 12, 1998.


Enclosed please find a copy of call for papers for your reference.


We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you and your
colleagues in ICS'98, Tainan, TAIWAN.

          1998 International Computer Symposium (ICS'98)
                                        National Cheng Kung University
                                                Tainan, TAIWAN, R.O.C
                                                  December 17-19, 1998


                          Sponsored by the Ministry of Education, R.O.C.
                      Co-sponsored by the National Science Council, R.O.C.,
                  the Computer Society of R.O.C., the IEEE Taipei Section,
                                              and Taipei /Taiwan ACM Chapter




The Symposium is the largest biannual international computer symposium
held
in Taiwan, Republic of China. It is intended to provide a forum for
participating
researchers to discuss current research developments and practices, and
to
explore future trends and applications in computer technology.


ICS'98 consists of eight separate workshops, each focusing on a specific
area. Every
workshop is chaired by major leading researchers in the field. You
are thereby ensured to have the best opportunity to meet colleagues and
to
discuss on-going research. Workshop duration will be from one day up to
3
days, depending on the number of selected papers.

the paper; 3) a short abstract; 4) name, current affiliation, postal
address, email
address, telephone number, and fax number for each author; 5) name of
the contact
author; and 6) a list of keywords indicating the content areas related
to the paper.
The results presented in the paper must be unpublished and not submitted
for
publication elsewhere, including the proceedings of other conferences or
workshops.
One author of each accepted paper will be expected to present the paper
at the
workshop.
