Have you considered an attribute grammar instead?
I know you can get a fine AG system from Declarative Systems
(sales@declarative.com), and I think that they're reasonably
priced (but I'm not certain). (Disclaimer: Rodney Farrow,
who works there, is a friend of mine, but he knows lots and
lots about attribute grammars and his used his system
to develop systems for processing languages like VHDL and
C++.)
