Description:

ICCI'98 will be an international forum for presentation of new results in
research, development, and applications in computing and information. The
organizers expect both practitioners and theorists to attend. In past
conferences, ICCI has attracted participants from over 40 different
countries.

The conference will be organized in 4 concurrent streams:

Stream A: Theory: Data Theory and Logic, Information and Coding
Theory, Theory of Programming, Algorithms, Theory of Computation

Stream B: Distribution/Parallelism: Distributed Computing and
Communications, Concurrency and Parallelism, Mobile Computing

          Stream C: Systems/Development: Database Systems, Software/Data
              Engineering and CASE Methodology

Stream D: Applications: AI Methodologies, Expert Systems, UI and
              Knowledge Engineering, WWW

Authors are invited to submit six copies of their manuscript to the
appropriate Stream Chair (see below) by the submission deadline. Papers
should be original work, which has not been submitted previously or
concurrently to another location. Papers should be written in English and
should contain a maximum of 5000 words. Papers should be formatted using
12pt font and double-spacing. Each paper should include a short abstract
and a list of keywords indicating subject classification.

Please note that a blind review process will be used to evaluate submitted
papers. Authors' names and institutions should be identified only on a
cover page that can be detached. No information that clearly identifies the
authorship of the paper should be included in the body of the paper.

Authors of accepted papers will be asked to prepare the final version in
PostScript form for publication in a Special Issue of the CD-ROM Journal of
Computing and Information (JCI): an issue devoted to the Proceedings of
ICCI'98. The proceedings will also be available via WWW Site and Anonymous
FTP over the Internet. To view the proceedings for ICCI'94 and ICCI'95,
please see http://phoenix.trentu.ca/jci

Electronic submissions conforming to the criteria outlined above are
preferred. However, if you wish to submit electronically, you may send a
PostScript file to the relevant stream chair. You should allow sufficient
time for the stream chair to print your paper and acknowledge its
submission before the deadline. If you send a hardcopy submission, please
send six (6) copies of your paper.

Our primary communication medium will be electronic - either via the web or
by email. Therefore, it is critical that you provide an email address with
your submission so we can contact you quickly. Please ensure that your
email address is present, current and correct in all correspondence. We
intend to produce both the CD-ROM version and a bound paper copy of the
proceedings this year.
