I am not familiar with DAG ( perhaps I am dating myself ) but you
might be interested in the Graph drawing research ( VGJ ) at Auburn
University. It is a Java applet that will allow you to manipulate
various attributes as well as some handy algorithms ( Spring,
biconnected, etc... ).
It is still under development so changes occur often, but the stable
source code is available at
http://www.eng.auburn.edu/department/cse/research/graph_drawing/graph_drawing.html
