                                                    August 27-29, 1997

Program Committee

Chair Yves Robert, University of Tennessee at Knoxville, USA
on leave from LIP, ENS Lyon, France
Vice-Chair Bill Pugh, University of Maryland, USA
Vice-Chair Jingling Xue, University of New England, Australia
Local Chair Jean-Francois Collard, PRiSM, U. of Versailles, France

This workshop deals with all topics concerning automatic
parallelization techniques, and the production of parallel programs
using high performance compilers.

Topics of interest include the traditional fields of compiler
technology (see below). The interplay between compiler technology and
communication libraries will also be addressed. Target programming
styles obviously include data-parallel imperative languages (HPF), but
compiler optimizations for other kinds of languages are warmly
welcome.

We also encourage submissions on practical experiments to assess the
benefits and the limits of current automatic parallelization
techniques and programming styles.

Topics of interest include:

      - static analysis - program transformations
      - scheduling - allocation, mapping
      - communication optimization - code generation

Submission Deadline: 20 January 1997 (paper); 1 February 1997
(electronic)

Euro-Par is the annual European conference in Parallel Processing.
Like the 1996 conference in Lyon, the 1997 version will consist of a
number of highly focussed workshops on all aspects of parallel
processing, from theory to practice, from academy to industry. The
workshops will present the latest advances in their respective
domains. In addition, there will be a number of high-level tutorials
of general interest plus a series of invited talks. Calls for papers
for 20 workshops are being launched. All accepted papers will appear
in the proceedings published by Springer-Verlag in the LNCS Series.
