Well, I can only talk about my Coco/R for C/C++ version. I have
test simple compilers using Coco/R for C/C++, it is faster than
Yacc/Lex generated components, but a little slower than the handwritten
(human optimized) version.

You can find new versions of Coco/R (C/C++,Pascal,Modula) at
ftp://cs.ru.ac.za/pub/coco, or ftp://uvg.edu.gt/pub/coco
