Theme Issue of Nordic Journal of Computing on Programming Enviroments

A theme issue of NJC on programming environment research is scheduled to be
published at the end of 1996. The scope of the theme issue is to be
understood in a broad sense: all aspects of tools used during the
implementation phase in software life-cycle are in principle included. We
encourage in particular papers that propose a new kind of tool support on
the basis of systematic problem analysis or formalization. The emphasis in
this issue is in the practical value of the results. Discussions of actual
implementations are highly desirable. Possible topics include, but are not
limited to, specification and implementation of program editors and
compilers, fault analysis tools, testing, program animation and
visualization, reusing software libraries and frameworks, system integration
and distribution, version control, tools supporting collaborative
programming, and tools for the development of verified software.

The deadline for submission is August 1st, 1996. Please send
your submissions to Kai Koskimies:
