CALL FOR PAPERS
Authors are invited to submit original unpublished manuscripts that
demonstrate current research in all areas of high performance
computing including design and analysis of parallel and distributed
systems and their applications in scientific, engineering, and
commercial areas. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
* Parallel Algorithms * Scientific Computation
* Parallel Architectures * Visualization
* Parallel Languages & Compilers * Network Based Computing
* Distributed Systems * Signal & Image Processing Systems
* Programming Environments * Supercomputing Applications
To submit a paper, send a summary of your work (not to exceed ten
double spaced pages including figures, tables, and references) to the
Program Chair. Mail/Fax submissions will be considered; however,
electronic form of submission (postscript format, 300dpi) is
preferred. Electronic submissions should be sent to
hipc96@cis.ufl.edu. Hard copy (five copies) and fax (one copy)
submissions should be sent to the program committee chair at the
address/fax number given below. In addition to the summary, please
include a cover page listing your postal address, e-mail address,
telephone and fax numbers, and the name and address of the person who
will present the work, if accepted. All manuscripts will be reviewed.
To be considered, the summary and the cover page must be received by
April 10, 1996. Notification of accept/reject decisions will be
mailed by June 30, 1996. Camera-ready papers are due August 1, 1996.
Proceedings will be available at the meeting.
Submissions to the meeting should be made with the implicit
understanding that if the manuscript is accepted, the author(s) will

LOCATION
The conference will be held at the Technopark campus which houses
state-of-the-art meeting facilities. Technopark is an electronic
technology park located in Trivandrum. Accommodation for participants
will be available in the hotels at the nearby Kovalam beach resort.
Trivandrum(Thiruvananthapuram, the City of the Endless Serpent) is
located near the southern-most tip of India. It is the capital of the
state of Kerala. With its golden beaches and emerald green palm
trees, it is a popular tourist destination. Trivandrum is home to
some leading scientific and technological institutions in India
including the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, and the Centre for Earth
Science Studies. The city has a number of tourist attractions.
Places of tourist attraction include Raja Ravi Varma's dramatic
paintings at the Chitra Art Gallery, buildings from colonial times
which combine indigenous architectural styles with European ones, the
Napier museum with a fine collection of bronzes, and the Oriental
manuscript library which preserves ancient palm leaf manuscripts.
