I have noticed that there are quite a few "generic" parsers freely
available. Has anyone done a head-to-head on them comparing such
things as throughput, maintenance, portability and so on? I am more
interested in the similarities rather than the differences. Off the
top of my head the list could include:


(f)lex/(b)yacc-bison
coco
parts of cocktail
antlr
