A complement of workshops and tutorials will be held in conjunction
the Seventh Symposium on Architectural Support for Programming
Languages and Operating Systems (ASPLOS-VII). This year, ASPLOS is
being held in Boston and runs from October 1 through October
4. Half-day and full-day workshops/tutorials will be held on October
1st, and if appropriate additional half-day and full-day
workshops/tutorials will be held during the afternoon of October 4th.
Workshops
Workshop proposals must be submitted by March 19, 1996 (this is two
weeks after the technical paper deadline), and should be sent via
electronic mail or paper mail to Andrew A. Chien. Decisions will be
made regarding workshop proposals no later than March 31, 1995. A
workshop proposal should include the following:
1. A description of the technical focus of the workshop and its
objective (no more than 1-page)
2. An indication whether a 1/2-day or full-day workshop is appropriate,
3. An estimate of the number of attendees (including an explanation of
how this estimate was reached),
4. A proposed budget and registration charge for the workshop,
5. Contact information for all of the workshop organizers.
Workshop proposers are encouraged to seek external support for their
workshops, but please notify us if you're doing so in advance of the
workshop's approval.
Tutorials
Tutorial proposals must be submitted by March 19, 1996 (this is two
weeks after the technical paper deadline), and should be sent via
electronic mail or paper mail to Andrew A. Chien. Decisions will be
made regarding tutorial proposals no later than March 31, 1995. A
tutorial proposal should include the following:
1. A description of the technical focus of the tutorial and its target
audience (no more than 1-page)
2. An indication whether a 1/2-day or full-day tutorial is
appropriate
3. An estimate of the number of attendees (including an explanation of
how this estimate was reached)
4. A proposed budget and registration charge for the tutorial
5. Contact information for all of the tutorial presenters.
