New releases of Coco/R
======================

New versions of Coco/R - including a new port to TurboPascal - are now
available from the sites

        ftp.inf.ethz.ch:/pub/software/Coco
        ftp.psg.com:/pub/modula-2/coco
        cs.ru.ac.za:/pub/coco
        pluto.fit.qut.edu.au:/pub/coco

These versions are

(a) Hosted in Modula-2, generating Modula-2, for various compilers and
systems

MS-DOS - TopSpeed, FST, Logitech, StonyBrook, Gardens Point
          Linux - Mocka, Gardens Point
          FreeBSD - Mocka, Gardens Point
Other Unix - Gardens Point (and probably Mocka)

(b) Hosted in Modula-2, generating Turbo Pascal

MS-DOS - TopSpeed, FST, Logitech, StonyBrook, Gardens Point

(c) Hosted in Turbo Pascal, generating Turbo Pascal

Look for the files README.1st and READ.ME for details of what to get and how
to unpack the kits.

For those who do not know, Coco/R generates recursive descent parsers and
their associated scanners from attribute grammars. Coco/R is extremely easy
to use. Full source code and a variety of simple example applications are
supplied in the distribution kits.

There are also Oberon and C versions available.

Version 1.39 has been developed to be as portable as possible across all these
compilers and operating systems. There are numerous small improvements from
earlier versions, as well as more sample applications.
