This one-day workshop provides graduate students with the opportunity
to present their current research. Presenters are strongly encouraged
to submit written versions of their work, which will be packaged into
proceedings and distributed to all workshop attendees. A poster
session will follow the presentations to provide increased
opportunities for students to present their work. The nominal
registration fee of $30 includes:


- attendance of the keynote address, the main session,
and the poster session
- the workshop proceedings
- lunch
- dinner


MASPLAS '95 was organized by Phil Pfeifer and held at East Stroudsburg
University. The following institutions were represented:


Cornell University,
East Stroudsburg University,
Lehigh University,
Loyola University,
New Jersey Institute of Technology,
New York University,
Penn State University,
Polytechnic University,
Rutgers University,
Sarnoff Labs,
SUNY at New Paltz,
Temple University,
University of Delaware.


Twelve presentations were made in two parallel sessions. These
presentations were followed by a poster session.

New Paltz is located in the scenic Mid-Hudson Valley just east of the
Shawagunk Mountains. It is centrally located between Albany and New
York City immediately off of Exit 18 of the New York State Thruway
(Route 87). New Paltz is 90 minutes from Albany and New York City,
and approximately three hours from Syracuse, Ithaca, and Boston.
Several inexpensive hotels are located close to the college.
