One might also consider generating the C source for the
grammar/scanner on an appropriate Unix system (possibly Linux if
you're limited to PCs) and incorporating this into the source. It
would be a royal pain when developing such an application, but seems
feasible for porting (when the scanner/parser isn't going to change
much anyway). Whether this is worth it depends what you are doing,
and how much of a pain it is to acquire a working lex/yacc for
Mac/PCs.
