Well, DEC OSF/1's cc is very probably derived from their Ultrix's cc for the
RISC processors they used before the Alpha. Since this earlier processor
family happened to be the MIPS family, it's not too surprising...

PS: and I seem to remember that the cc installed on the Sparcs running
        Mach/BSD-4.3 at CMU is also very similar (with ucode and everything).
