I am looking for any reference material on standard binary file
formats. I have looked in books, journals, and newsgroups without
much luck. I am mostly interested in a survey type paper that
discusses the pros/cons of each (a.out, coff, elf, dwarf, IEEE 695, etc)

The format needs to support symbolic debugging of both C and Ada.

Thanks,

Ray
