I have access to a DEC Alpha workstation, and was attempting to
view the use of the CMOV (conditional move instruction) on he SPEC
benchmarks (Int and Fp).

I've tried all optimization levels (gcc and cc) and also wrote test
code which contained the ideal programming construction for a conditional
move, but I get the compiler to utilize this instruction.

Any suggestions?

Does anyone know of any material on the use of Alpha's CMOV?
(besides the instruction set manual)
Any published numbers on its use?

Thanks
