C function cross referencer needed

For documentation purposes I would like to find a DOS based cross referencer
for functions in one or more files - a who-calls-who and called-by-who listing.
I am surprised that DOS compilers do not have it as an option. I did check
a couple of from a C repository called CSORT and XRF. CSORT did not work
properly and XRF is for variables. Can anyone help?
