For those interested, there is a MIX interpreter for Knuth's machine
language in the _Art of Computer Programming_ series located at
altdorf.ai.mit.edu:archive/adler/MIX/mix.tar.Z


It was written in the early '80s for a Sun, and I compiled it with no
problem on our Ultrix 4.3 machine.
