We're a recruitment office, in business for many years serving the Bay
Area. We have a client who wishes to find two developers who have at least
a few years background in some aspect of compiler developme nt. In
particular the manager would be delighted to locate a person who has dome
some form of parser work. In this particular department they are building
tools which will be used by developers who work with this company's
database related products.


They are based in teh mid peninsula area, south of San
Francisco. Salary can run in the $50's or $60's, the positions are only
permanent. A college degree is mandatory, preferably from a top rank
school.

Harris Computer Systems, a division of the Harris Corporation, is seeking
experienced software engineers to fill a variety of full time product
development positions at our Ft. Lauderdale, FL headquarters. The
Computer Systems Division designs and manufactures UNIX based
multiprocessor computer systems for real-time simulation, Ada development
systems, multi-level secure systems, power plant control systems, weather
radar systems, and other applications with real-time and/or secure
computing needs.


There is currently a permanent position available in the Compilation
Systems group. This position requires a BSCS/BSCE, a minimum of three
years experience with a strong background in C and UNIX, and U.S.
citizenship or permanent residency.


The job requirements include ongoing development in Harris compiler
technology. Harris' compiler products include C, Fortran and Ada
compilation systems based on a state-of-the-art common code generator.
The successful candidate will have 3+ years experience in compiler
development with specific experience in code generation for RISC
architectures, code optimization, or front-end development. Experience
with C++, debugging formats, debugger internals, runtime libraries, and
other compilation systems tools is desirable.
