Some time ago I tried to install the Marion compiler for the i860 written
by Dave Bradley, only to find that the port to the i860 was unfinished.
Specifically, there was no 'assem_860.c' file to produce assembly code.
The quick hack that I rapidly put together produces erroneous code for
some floating point instructions.

These errors suggest either that Marion does not take the full set of
restrictions of the i860 floating point datapath into account, or that my
assem_860 routines are garbage. I am inclined to believe the latter.

Does anyone know of a port to the i860 that does work? The sources were
dated early 1991, and I haven't been reading this newsgroup very regularly
so please forgive me if this question came up before in the almost three
years in between. I would be eternally grateful.
