Hi,


I have been looking at several compiler related references and I found
that profiling techniques that many compilers use are any of the
following:


  Monitoring, tracing and counting.


Is anyone aware of any other technique(s) or any references that discuss
different techniques to collect profile data; something other than what I
have listed above?
