This is a digest of ``help wanted'' and ``position available'' messages
received at comp.compilers during the preceding week. Messages must
advertise a position having something to do with compilers and must also
conform to the guidelines periodically posted in misc.jobs.offered.
Positions that remain open may be re-advertised once a month. To respond
to a job offer, send mail to the author of the message. To submit a
message, mail it to compilers@iecc.cambridge.ma.us.

Subject: MA: C++ Tools,Languages,Compiler Corporate Support

If you have C or C++ experience and a desire for more visibility than you
presently get out of your development role, keep reading. My client is
looking for a C or C++ person with strong multi-platform UNIX experience,
to provide Corporate level support to key clients. Unlike most
"have-you-plugged-it-in" or "have-you-turned-it-on" support roles, this
requires strong Technical skills which you will be allowed to keep very up
to date. You spend about 5 hours/day on the phone with key technical
contacts at the customer, and about 3 hours/day working directly with the
Design Engineering group. Career paths available within the company
include Sales, Pre-Sales Support, or Design and Development.

You can presently be doing either Customer Support or Engineering
development and still be the "right" person. (although without direct
support experience you'll need to be able to demonstrate excellent
interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to help people solve problems).
This company designs and markets C and C++ compilers and Development
Tools. If you're looking to make a break from pure development and yet
want a role that will keep you technically current, give me a call or
email a resume.
