I am seeking information about implementations/research in the area of
loop-carried dependence analysis of scalar variables. Many
loop-transforming optimizations including loop parallelization require
loop-carried dependence information for scalar variables as well as
arrays. While there is a plethora of literature about loop-carried
dependence analysis for array variables, there seems to be very little
available regarding scalar variables.
If anyone has any pointers, contacts, or ideas, please send them via
