CA-Compiler Engineer
Compiler engineers needed for Bay Area company. Candidates must have solid
(3+ years) experience in compiler development. Strong C skills in a Unix
and/or DOS environment required. Will develop enhancements (both front and
back ends) and write code generators. Optimization and C++ skills are a
plus. Some knowledge of RISC architecture, Fortran and Pascal are a must.

Subject: Language Developer for New Object-Oriented Development Platform


        We are developing a new object-oriented language and programming
environment which should meet or greatly exceed the current
state-of-the-art in all respects. We are seeking a programmer with
experience in object-oriented language implementation, Unix, and X. We
are willing to substitute brilliance for knowledge but value both highly.
Specialized knowledge, such as partial-evaluation and GUI-builders are a
big plus. Job responsibilities include porting to Sparcstations and
helping with the design and implementation of the environment and machine
independent kernel. Compensation includes substantial participation
through stock ownership and the opportunity to help design a no-compromise
top-of-the-line object-oriented development environment in an informal but
dedicated work environment. Totally flexible hours. Salary is
