236 SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - 68K GROUP


Senior-level Software Engineering position. Duties include enhancement
and maintenance of a state-of-the-art optimizing code generator for the e
Motorola 68K family of microprocessors. Will also participate in the
design of MRI's next generation of code generators.


MSCS with 5-10 years of software development experience programming in C.
Code generation experience, familiarity with 68K family of microprocessors
is required. Knowledge of embedded microprocessor software development
a plus.

240 SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER X-RAY/MONITOR


Overall responsibilities will be to develop and maintain XRAY/Monitor
products. Duties include (but not limited to) retargetting and rehosting
the Monitor; developing and maintaining communication drivers (RS232,
Ethernet, etc); porting, maintaining and new development of the MTD
(Multi Tasking Debugger) version of the Monitor. Serve as an information
source to tech support on XRAY/Monitor issues.


BSEE/BSCS. 4+ years of Software development experience. Knowledge of C,
UNIX, MSDOS and 680X0 processors. Ideally, experience with monitor or
emulator based debuggers, embedded systems, real time kernels. Hardware
experience a plus.

241 SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - XRAY CORE


In this position you will maintain and enhance the core of XRAY, MRI's
highly successful source level debugger for embedded microprocessors.
You will provide technical leadership consisting of defining, designing
and implementing new capabilities as well as fixing defects. You may
also assist other XRAY engineers in rehosting and retargeting.


2+ years development experience with a source level debugger. BSCS or
equivalent desired. 6+ years of C and Unix experience, 2+ years of PC
MSDOS experience. Excellent written communication skills required.


Familiarity with major microprocessor architectures required.

244 SOFTWARE ENGINEER


The candidate will enhance and maintain state-of-the-art optimizing
code-generators and XRAY debuggers for RISC processors (Sparc, 29K
88K). They will be adding features for the existing components (the
debugger in particular) and managing C an C++ test suites. They will
be proting RISC platforms. We are looking for someone who can apply
sound Software Engineering techniques to improve and extend our RISC
toolkits.


BS degree + 3-4 years of experience in the compiler field required.
Familiarity with UNIX and MS-DOS is highly recommended. Master degree
in CS/EE and C++ programming experience a plus.

You will implement the next generation of MRI backend, including code
generator, global optimizer, inter-procedural optimizer, profile base
optimizer, and debuggine of the optimizing code. Also maintain and
enhance the MRI existing backend.


BSCS/BSEE required, MSCS/MSEE preferred. A minimum of 6 years of software
development experience including a minimum 3 years experience in
development of code generation or optimizer is required. Knowledge of
advanced optimization techniques is helpful.

at the full professor, associate professor, and assistant professor
levels. Although applicants in all areas of computer science will be
considered, preference will be given to candidates whose research is
related to the experimental, application, and system support areas of
parallel and distributed computing, including programming languages,
software engineering, artificial intelligence, distributed databases, and
system performance. Other required and preferred qualifications are as

        science or in a related area and must have a strong research record
        consistent with the level of their appointments, including
