The "Proceedings of the International Workshop on Code Generation --
Concepts, Tools, Techniques" will soon be available from Springer-Verlag in
the "Workshops in Computing" Series. ISBN 0-387-19757-5 and 3-540-19757-5.


                                                                        Abstract


              The goal of the workshop was to evaluate the state of the art and to
        point out the major directions of research in code generation for the
        coming years. Most of the contributions were arranged around four topics:


              * Tools and techniques for code selection


              * Code generation for parallel architectures


              * Register allocation and phase ordering problems


              * Formal models and validation


        Besides these, there were contributions on some new topics such as dynamic
        compilation or object-oriented methods for code generation.




The report "Dagstuhl-Seminar-Report; 13" includes a summary, (e-mail)
addresses of the participants, the program, and abstracts. It is available
