There's very little literature on the partial evaluation of imperative
programs. See the recent POPL proceedings (Pugh's paper) and the PEPM
proceedings (Meyer's paper). For partial evaluation of functional
languages, anonymous ftp my papers from
DOLORES.STANFORD.EDU:/~ftp/pub/fuse-papers/. The abstracts of the papers
appear in the README file. Memos 2, 1, and 6 (in that order) may prove
helpful.
