James Larus at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has a MIPS 2000
simulator named SPIM. I used to have the ftp site but I lost it.
If you will be running code that makes calls to unlinked routines
out of libc, you know, of course, it will not work. He has two versions,
one for X, and one for tty mode.
