@article{Deussen,
          AUTHOR = {P. Deussen and L. Wegener},
TITLE = {A bibliography of the van {W}ijngaarden grammars},
JOURNAL = {Bulletin of the European Association of
Theoretical Computer Science (ETACS)},
YEAR = {1978},
VOLUME = {6},
}

This ought to start you off, Deussen and Wegener have
done a lot of work on vW grammars

>[Does anyone actually use one? -John]
Well, yes. Turns out that's a way to express these
silly indentations in concrete occam2. But for
making the parser, I'm doing something else, generating a parser
from a vW-Grammar is, well, tricky.
