Is anyone aware of a FORTRAN front end for gcc? [I already know about f2c,
but don't believe that the code is produces will be as good as a native
compiler.]

Alternatively, is anyone aware of a FORTRAN compiler for which the sources
are publically available?

Thanks,
/Jim

anything ever came of it. -John]
