Attribute Grammars have been successfully used in a "real" system, a
generator for syntax-directed editors (i.e., editors which "know" the
syntax of the language). The work I'm referring to was done at
Cornell University by Tom Reps and Tim Teitelbaum. They published
several very readable papers, too. Should you wish more information,
I suggest you contact them (T. Teitelbaum is cornell!tt or tt@cornell.arpa).
