I would just like to express my appreciation for these forrays into all the
old (pre-1980s) machines and their compilers. It really helps to put into
context features and lack thereof of languages and compilers that grew out of
that time period. There's so much that a grammar, the section in an
architecture or survey of languages textbook, and maybe an old user's guide
don't say.
