PlayStationB.Network is an emergent entertainment network delivering

Responsibilities:
The Senior Compiler Engineer will provide research and development support
of compilers and other developer tools for all PlaystationB. platforms.
Contributes to complex and critical technologies related to compilers and
other software development tools by creating new tools, and improving and
maintaining existing tools
In collaboration with the compiler team, designs, implements and improves
compiler optimizations and features in order to increase performance of
generated code and improve game developer productivity
Fixes issues and bugs in all developer tools to improve their quality and
stability for game developers
Interacts directly with game developers to address issues with all
developer tools
Maintains scripts and documentation to support software engineering
processes
Qualifications:
Able to interact well with fellow engineers
Capable of clearly communicating and negotiating technical issues with an
internationally diverse and dynamic team
The ability to follow standard software engineering processes individually
and as a team and meet objectives to accomplish goals
Expertise with software development on Linux
Experience with software development on Microsoft Windows, including
Visual Studio
Exceptional technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are
required
Exceptional skill in C and C++
Expertise implementing compiler optimizations and passes
Candidate must be able to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively
in a timely and professional manner with a variety of internal and
external personnel in multiple channels including email, database,
documentation, instant messaging, telephone, written correspondence, and
in person
At least 3+ years of experience with compiler development
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline,
or equivalent
Expertise in the following programming languages: C, C++
Experience in software development on Linux
At least 4 years of experience working on compilers and related tools
Expererience with GCC and binutils development
Experience with Visual Studio, and game development
