    Try searching for PLDI, MICRO, JILP, IEEE TC, TOPLAS, TACO, etc.
    That is, read the conference proceedings and journals in the area
    to get a feel for the trends in code optimization/compiler research.
    There are many more, but that should be plenty to get you started.
    Once you have read some of those papers, their bibliographies will
    lead you to many more publications.
