Client Background


Our client is a leader in the design and manufacture of semiconductors for
the automotive, consumer, industrial, networking and wireless markets.


Job Description


Architect for a C/C++ cross-compiler which runs on Linux and PC's and
targets the PowerPC family of processors. The compiler is written in C++.


Local candidates or those willing to relocate only.


Required Skills


Ideal candidate would have worked on a cross compiler for the PowerPC as
either a team lead or significant individual contributor. Engineers with
experience developing C/C++ compilers for other processors will also be
considered. Preference will be given to those who have worked on other RISC
processors, such as ARM or MIPS. Ability to get along with others and work
as a team member is needed. Desire to follow a high-quality, repeatable
development process is required (requirements, design, test, CM, etc.).
Knowledge of (or ability to learn) various compiler-related standards is
required. Knowledge of the various parsing and compiler generation tools is
required (lex, yacc, etc). Candidate should be familiar with other compiler
resources, including open, freeware, or public domain tools.


Power PC Architecture experience is a plus. Looking for candidates with 15+
years experience.


Education


BS or higher in CS.
