Position: Compiler Engineer

Description:

As a Compiler Engineer, you will work as a member of the elite Visual

Requirements:
- BSCS or MSCS or above, high GPA required
- Deep knowledge of C and C++ inside and out
- Understanding of compiler design and methodology
- Enthusiasm for compiler design and compiler front-end design
- Prior experience in compiler design/development a plus
- Demonstrable initiative through personal projects and/or past
internships (required)
- Exceptional problem solving and debugging skills
- A self-starter who can work as part of a team
- Good communication skills

We have a job opening for a graduating PhD student. The description
is below. Essentially, the team conducts R&D on content processing
algorithms and develops creative techniques for implementing these
into constrained die areas. It's a very challenging area, working with
quite senior architects. Summary of the job description below. If
there are any strong candidates, please pass this along. This is a
very good opportunity for accelerated learning and to have significant
impact on future Intel products.
Responsibilities
Candidate will be responsible for the algorithm development and silicon
architecture for specific focus on the content processing domain
(compression, pattern matching, cryptography). This includes research,
modeling, detailed analysis and optimization of solutions resulting in
architecture specifications. Will need to interface with other
architects, designers, validation engineers and software developers. In
addition you must be apt at analyzing existing and emerging research and
standards. This is a position that requires innovative thinking to
solve complex engineering problems. Very challenging environment with
the opportunity to have major impact on future products.
Qualifications
-Graduate Science degree (PhD preferred)
-C/C++ programming coding skills
-Cryptographic, compression and pattern matching expertise
-Knowledge of HTTP, IPSec and IKE
-Understanding of communications protocols such as TCP/IP
-Strong engineering analysis fundamentals, modeling, algorithms, design
of experiments, statistics and data analysis
-Linux and Windows Programming knowledge
-Embedded systems knowledge and experience desired
-Hardware architecture knowledge highly desirable
-Must be comfortable interfacing with highly diverse engineering teams
